My name is Steve, and I have been caring for and nurturing tropical houseplants for just over 15 years. My love for plants began with plants gifted by my Sister, at a time when I didn’t have a clue how to take care of them. My approach then was ‘trying not to kill them’, but with time, patience, extensive research and application, my approach now is about ‘helping plants to thrive and reach their full potential’. Throughout my plant journey, I have owned and cared for hundreds of plants, and as a result, I have felt the therapeutic pull of caring for something living, watching it root, grow, and thrive under attention. That experience changed how I saw my own space and myself, and it’s something I want to help others find too.
Needs and Nodes is a home-visit service for people who love their plants, but sometimes struggle to keep them thriving. I come to you, assess your space, your light, your humidity, and your plants’ specific needs, and take care of the hands-on work: watering, pruning, pest control, repotting, whatever they need to flourish. Whether you’re just starting your plant journey or have an established collection, I meet you where you are.
Beyond care, I offer guidance on placement and styling, helping your plants sit where they’ll thrive, while your home still feels like yours. Because a well-tended plant is part of the energy of a space, a small daily reminder of growth, presence, and care.

We'll chat through your space, your plants, your goals, and any concerns — whether you're after a Plant Spa Day, repotting, styling help, new plants, or just want your space to feel more alive. This call helps us build the right plan before booking an in-home visit.
The consultation fee is credited toward any service you book afterward.

Plant Repotting

Outgrown its pot, or just needs fresh soil? We'll repot using the right soil mix, check root health, and flag anything worth knowing — plus answer your care questions so you know how to keep it thriving.
Pot sourcing available for an extra fee
Plant Spa Day

The reset your plants deserve.
Each plant gets inspected, cleaned, pruned, fed, and given preventative pest care. We'll flag any issues and give you a clear plan for what's next.
Repotting available as an add-on if needed
